Feels like heaven.

This is our second time staying at the Cidade and the umpteenth time we have visited it, since my father lived nearby for many years. It's one of my family's favourite places on earth, a true home from home, so I am perhaps not an objective reviewer, but I am a big fan. The location is picture perfect; the modest, understated architecture by the late, great Charles Correa is inspired by traditional Goan-Portuguese styles and blends pleasingly with the natural surroundings; the beach is gorgeous; the Indian food buffet on offer as part of the half-board plan is excellent; the facilities are what you expect from a hotel of its class. What is truly exceptional is the staff, who were uniformly warm, welcoming, helpful, and efficient.

Very Good

View and set up was amazing as we travelled for our Honeymoon. Fiona the receptionist was amazing and Muskan DM where all helpful. I would specially love to thank Nazne and the team for doing a good job. Breakfast was amazin staff there was very attentive and made us feel very comfortable. Chairs was not good for breakfast.

Amazing reception and excellent service.

Extra bed could have been more comfortable. terrace had litter which could have been cleaned. Ice cream served during buffet dinner was frozen solid better ice cream could have been nice. not sea food option during buffet dinner

Excellent stay - a little spoilt by a couple of glitches.

The welcome was exceptional and our room (following a complimentary upgrade) superb. It was a little disappointing that the full board package only gave us access to the self service buffet restaurant with no allowance made if we chose to eat in one of the other restaurants. This meant that we were unable to sample the full range of restaurants on offer! Having said that, the food in the buffet restaurant was always very good - if a little chaotic at times with call order items taking a long time to arrive. The pool area was beautiful but challenged by a lack of beds and sunshades - also the beds themselves were very basic - hardly five star! The beach and sea swimming were lovely.

Service provided by staff, especially by Sumit, Abhishek was excellent. Sumit made sure that we had been taken care of food during breakfast and dinner time. Taj upgraded our room to junior suite, which is pleasantly a surprised. Memorial experience for us as a family.

Great location, fantastic food and comfortable rooms.

Food on site was fantastic. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

The room cooling system did not cool the room enough. They sent in the technician twice to fix the temperature.

very friendly and informal stay. it was like being at home from home

The breakfast was fantastic with great choice western and indian. Dinner too was great. The room was roomy and light.

there was construction work going on till 11 pm plus. when it was raised with front desk the work stopped.

Awesome experience. Especially for the 5th anniversary.

Everything was great. Especially the service. And the food. The big surprise was the upgrade in the room to sea-view.

Maybe the airport pick-up and drop service could have been a part of the deal!

Memorable in many ways, in particular the ease of access to the beach.

The architecture of Charles Correa. The style of interior decoration. The attentiveness of service. The existence of a beach whose waters are protected by its location in a cove.

Most of the staff were courteous and very friendly. I came across a few "bad eggs", however, barmen who were curt, even surly, simply not up to Taj standard..

Truly memorable stay

The property itself beautifully located next to the beach. The exceptional service by the staff living up to the Taj reputation. The food at the two restaurants we ate at - BBQ and Cafe Azul.

The only miss was the quality of the buffet breakfast.
